Natalius Pigai, Komnas HAM Commissioner for the 2012-2017 period, has confirmed that presidential candidate number 2, Prabowo Subianto, is not involved in alleged human rights violations.
“Until today, the results of the Komnas HAM investigation, which I have read, do not mention Prabowo as someone who committed human rights violations,” said Natalius Pigai at a press conference at the Prabowo-Gibran media center in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Monday (12/11/2023).
Natalius stated that he has read the official report of the investigation carried out by Komnas HAM regarding the alleged human rights violations associated with Prabowo Subianto.
“I have read the official results of the Komnas HAM investigation and I released this statement a week ago, and there were no objections,” he said.
In addition to Prabowo, Pigai mentioned that the names of Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Baswedan are also not on the list of suspected human rights violators. Therefore, he stated that all presidential candidates in the 2024 Presidential Election are free from the issue of alleged human rights violations.
“This means that Prabowo’s name is not there. It means that both Prabowo, Ganjar, and Anies are all clear and clean,” said Pigai. (SENOPATI)
